December 13th

The U14's drew 4-4 with Ruislip Town away on lovely bright sunny day (if a little on the cold side. The Dragons set out in good spirits feeling that victory was assured and within minutes were one nil up. However, that easy goal was the team's undoing as they relaxed into a lazy game of football with the players forgetting all they had learnt in training - drifting out of position, doing their own thing and certainly not defending! By half time, Ruislip Town were 3:1 up. This was cue for a stern half-time talk from the coach (a la Arsene Wenger on Sunday!) and key substitutions, and the Dragons entered the second half with a clear brief to get their act together and score some goals. This they did and were 4:3 up until, in dying minutes, the defence's efforts again lapsed and a joyful Ruislip Town put away a goal which resulted in a draw. This was a game the Dragons let slip.

November 29th

The U14's lost 1-6 against West End away at Wormwood Scrubbs. Torrential rain had left the centre of the pitch resembling a pond and the goal mouths full of muddy water. Miraculously however just as the referee loped onto the ground half an hour late the hailstones stopped and it was judged that the game could proceed. The Dragons started slowly giving the impression that they wanted to be anywhere rather than running around in a muddy water pond. West End scored from a corner with a general unsuccessful scramble by the Dragons in the mud to try to keep the ball out of the goal mouth. Minutes later another corner was headed home by West End. From 2 nil down at half time, the Dragons re-grouped and with some determination joined in the game, but despite their best efforts only managed to put one goal away in a game which should never have been played in such conditions.

November 22nd

The U14's lost 1-5 away to Celtic in atrocious conditions under a Celtic appointed Referee. This was not a great day to be a Dragon U14 playing Celtic in the rain with no changing rooms or signs of human comfort. A drench side took the pitch squelching around in the mud and did the best they could in the circumstances. The Dragons are however a cheerful lot and know that better times are ahead.

8th November
The U14's beat LNER 3-0 at St Marks. With the Dragons Management a little below par as they hauled themselves from their respective sick beds the players were bright and eager to repeat their victory of last week. Play was not quick or fast due to the damp conditions, but within 10 minutes the opening goal was scored by the Dragons. More scoring
opportunities were created but each one was thwarted by inaccurate
kicking or 'saves' by LNER before finally another goal came 10 minutes
from half time. In the second half, the frustrations of the LNER side
lead to some general unhappiness but the game trundled on, despite all, to its conclusion with one last Dragons goal to make it a sound 3-0 win
