KDFC U12s - Div 3 League match Time: TBC - check with manager |
December 13th
The U12's lost 1-3 to Princess Park Paddington Rec. The Dragons lead 1 - 0 with 8 mins to go and could have been 3-0 up had they taken their chances. Unfortunately the team then went to sleep and Princess Park pounced to score 3 goals in 8 minutes. The Dragons played well for most of the match but were punished for losing shape at the end.

The U12's lost 1-5 at Wormwood Scrubbs in the 3rd round of the Middlesex County Cup against ABC Foundation - a team which had beaten the Dragons twice last season before going on to win the division; no pressure then. Having secured a pitch at Wormwood Scrubs the only question mark was whether between them the coach and manager could get the goal nets up before the deadline passed for the start of the match - it was touch and go. ABC didn't look any less formidable than last season, with 6 subs, two coaches and an army of supporters it was enough to put the fear of God into the bravest Dragon. 30 seconds after the start ABC were 1-0 up and the Dragons feared the worst. So, the final score was 5-1 to ABC. But the 1 came from a lovely run by Kaies Kargar finished by Ahmed Abdul - less than 5 minutes after ABC had taken the lead, it was noble stuff and for a while the ABC coaches looked less than happy. Nothing went past Ahmed Safe that could have been saved, it was just that the opposition had strength as well as depth.

The U11's lost to the veteran Dragon U12's in a friendly at St Marks.
The U11's initially had difficulty recognising their team mates between
the blades of grass as they scurried around the massive football pitch
trying to avoid being run over by the ball. The excitable crowd feared
for the U11's as the knarled veteran U12's proceeded to trample all
asunder and pile on the goals. The young Dragons are clearly however a new force to be reckoned with as, rather than crumple before the
onslaught, they proceeded to attack with a ferocity that left the U12's
gasping as they conceded a couple of scintillating goals into the back
of their surprised net.
